The Sunlight Men’s Group supports vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds who have fled their homes and are now facing the challenge of rebuilding their lives in the UK. The group is specifically for men who are isolated in their new community and finding it difficult to cope independently because of limited English language skills and lack of self-confidence in a new environment.
The Sunlight Men’s Group organises weekly sessions involving both social and educational activities promoting resilience, good health and well-being. The group provides one-to-one social and emotional support, helping participants build confidence, support one another and develop new skills. In addition to activities like first aid training, cooking and English classes, we also host sports games and artistic challenges. We are also planning to host a series of outings for the group, so come and join us!
