Women Health Matters (WHM) has a vision for the women of Leeds to be safe, empowered and making healthy choices for themselves, their families and their communities. Here at the One Community Centre, the Rainbow Hearts Women’s Group provides a drop-in service, providing emotional and practical support, together with practical and essential advice for women asylum seekers in Leeds.

Sunlight Men’s Group

The Sunlight Men’s Group supports vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds who have fled their homes and are now facing the challenge of rebuilding their lives in the UK. We organise weekly sessions involving both social and educational activities, so come and join us!

DWP Social Justice Community Work Coach Service

The UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is offering an advisory service on a regular basis in the One Community Centre. Come find out how the DWP can provide YOU the support needed for a new career here in the UK!

Debt Help Project

The Leeds Refugee Forum is here to provide free financial advice for those struggling with loans and debt. It is important to get the right advice and never ignore financial problems. Remember that these problems can be solved!

Bilingual Advocacy Outreach Surgery

The bilingual advocacy outreach surgery project is a project run by local charity Advocacy Support (ltd) for local refugee and asylum-seeking communities who use the One Community Center. We give practical assistance supporting clients to fully access their rights and entitlements, at the same time negotiate quality service provisions.

ESOL

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) is an English course to provide non-native English speakers the necessary English skills for day-to-day life. Come join us for a fun and rewarding time in learning English!

Leeds Refugee Week 2014 was held with the theme of ‘Different Pasts, Shared Future’.
